Our History

In 2008, Smith Cos., a wood products manufacturer and parent company of Smith Machine Worx, began to innovate and test more efficient, productive and profitable methods of manufacturing. In the decade that followed, Smith Cos. realized significant advancements in performance as a result of the creation of custom automation machine centers at its own facility.

Recognizing that other companies could benefit from their discovery served as the inspiration for the creation of Smith Machine Worx. To make it simple, we provide all the resources needed for manufacturing optimization: plan, build, rebuild, automate, install and train.
